Solar Battery Developer · Design · Build · Install · O&M
The developer, builder, and operator of the solar battery storage system that powers the entire SLC land and both flagship projects — from initial design and fabrication through installation, commissioning, and a full lifecycle operations and maintenance contract.
Role in the SLC Microgrid
SPWES LLC is the energy storage backbone of the SLC solar microgrid. Their proprietary battery system is not a commodity product — it is a purpose-engineered solution designed specifically to integrate with the SLC's solar array, load circuits, backup generator, and telemetry infrastructure, ensuring the entire land and both flagship projects operate with reliable, clean, and self-sufficient power.
The SPWES battery system is the central energy storage node of the SLC solar microgrid — receiving charge from the solar array, distributing power across all seven load circuits, and maintaining energy availability through nights, cloudy periods, and peak demand events.
SPWES engineers the battery system to work in precise harmony with the 5.2 kW solar array on the Friends of the Family project and the CE Hub's independent 10kW system — ensuring maximum solar harvest, minimal waste, and optimal charge cycling.
The SPWES battery management system provides the intelligence layer of the microgrid — automatically managing charge/discharge cycles, load prioritization, backup generator handoff, and real-time performance reporting through the telemetry dashboard.
SPWES designs the system with full redundancy — the tri-fuel backup generator integration ensures the SLC land and all project operations maintain power continuity under any condition, from grid outages to extended low-solar periods.
System Specifications
The SPWES battery system is sized and configured to meet the complete power needs of the SLC property — not just the two flagship structures, but the full 70-acre site as it grows through Phase 1 and into future development phases. Every specification is engineered with the larger microgrid in mind.
Full Scope of Work
SPWES LLC is the only partner in the SLC ecosystem responsible for a complete design-build-operate lifecycle. Their scope begins with engineering and ends only when the battery system reaches end of life — covering every phase of the energy storage system's existence on the land.

Operations & Maintenance
SPWES LLC's operations and maintenance contract is a long-term commitment to the SLC's energy independence. Once the battery system is commissioned, SPWES remains the responsible party for its performance, health, and longevity — ensuring the SLC never has to manage the complexity of energy storage operations alone.
The O&M contract covers remote 24/7 telemetry monitoring, quarterly on-site inspections, proactive cell replacement, firmware updates, emergency response, and annual performance benchmarking — giving the SLC a guaranteed energy partner for the full operational life of the system.

Partner Coordination
SPWES LLC works in close coordination with the other SLC development partners to ensure the battery system integrates seamlessly into the broader project. Their installation phase is directly coordinated with Henry's Landing (master electrician) for all wiring and interconnection work, with House of Powers for structural placement, and with CE Co-op for project scheduling and reporting.
